Introduction to Artificial Intelligence
Dive into the world of artificial intelligence with this exciting intro class! Students will create a complete AI project from beginning to end. Programming and Artificial Intelligence
In this exciting class, students will embark on a journey into the world of artificial intelligence as they craft the adventurous Super Forest Rangers platformer game. What makes it truly special is that hand gestures control it! Students learn how to build, train, and incorporate an AI model into their game. They will not only dive into the realms of machine learning and artificial intelligence but also become familiar with basic programming.

Get ready for an exciting journey of Artificial Intelligence in this class! Students craft a unique twist on the classic Rock Paper Scissors game called ‘Rock Paper Scissors Showdown, but here’s the twist—human gestures control it! Students build and train an AI model to recognize hand gestures. They will incorporate the AI model into their own game coded with JavaScript! Students will learn the basics of programming along with machine learning and artificial intelligence in this class.

Students will dive into the world of Artificial Intelligence, exploring how to use Machine Learning to solve fun, real-world issues. They will train, test, and refine a Machine Learning model equipped with Computer Vision capabilities to recognize patterns in images. It’s an excellent opportunity for kids & teens to explore innovative technologies and prepare for future challenges in the tech-driven world. Depending on your students age, here are the camps available.

For AI classes, students should meet the following requirements:
- Have all required class technology
- Set up a functioning webcam to collect images for their AI model

What technology do we need for class?
Students will be using our browser-based code editor to write real code. They don’t need to download or install special software.
You will need the following:
1) A computer with a keyboard, microphone, and speaker – almost all laptops bought within the last five years ago should have these. Chromebooks and iPads are not compatible with our platform.
2) A web browser installed, like Chrome (recommended) or Firefox, Safari, or Internet Explorer.; and
3) A reliable internet connection. Also, a headset is great so students can keep their hands free, but it isn’t required.

Can students use tablets?
Unfortunately no. Because they will be writing typed-code and seeing their work in real-time, they need a computer or laptop with a separate keyboard.
Do you offer refunds?
All introductory classes are non-refundable. However, to accommodate unforeseen circumstances, we do allow up to one (1) convenience transfer to move a student to a different class when one is scheduled and available. To request a convenience transfer, please call CodeWizardsHQ at 1-800-213-2417.
What if my student already has experience coding?
Not a problem! These courses should still provide a fun exercise for your student as well as the opportunity to check out how our classes work.
