Camp Description
AI and Machine Learning: The Basics is a fun 2-day camp where kids get to learn about artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning by making their own AI model. They will build a web app that can recognize what it sees in pictures! Kids will collect pictures to help their AI model learn and then use the CodeWizardsHQ platform to integrate their AI model into a web app. They’ll also learn to use their AI model in their app by writing their own code. This course will show them how to solve common pitfalls and refine their AI model when it isn’t working right. This camp is a great adventure for kids who are curious about how computers can learn and do amazing things!

- 1 Apply basic programming principles to execute actions and make decisions within a web application.
- 2 Train and integrate a machine learning model for specific tasks.
- 3 Identify and address common challenges encountered in AI model training.
Technical Requirements
For camp, students should meet the following requirements:
- Have all required class technology
- Set up a functioning webcam to collect images for their AI model
- Have two distinct toys, such as plushies or action figures, to train their AI model

What if I travel during summer?
You can attend our summer coding camp or classes even while traveling. All you need is a computer and a reliable internet connection.
Another option is our winter camp program which offers the same 1-week camp curriculum.
Can my child and their friends be in the same class?
Yes. We are happy to accommodate friend requests when possible, as long as
- students are on the same curriculum
- they have previously been enrolled with CodeWizardsHQ
- they give a minimum 1 week notice in advance of class start date. We will not be able to rearrange class assignments once classes are filled.
When enrolling siblings it is not assumed that they want to be in the same class. Please email us at [email protected] if you would like students grouped in the same class.

Our summer coding programs are ideal for kids and teens ages 8-18. We have multiple summer program options, including 3-week coding classes and 1-week & 2-day coding camps.
They’re particularly enjoyable for kids with interest in technology or video games. Beginners are welcome, no prior coding experience is needed.

During summer we offer 3-week accelerated versions of our structured core track classes (usually 12 weeks), along with unique 1-week camps designed only for summer break. Students can start, continue, catch up, or get ahead during this time and then transition back into our normal class schedules during the school year.
