About the Role
The Student Specialist is a highly communication-focused role at the heart of the CodeWizardsHQ experience. You’ll be a primary point of contact for parents and students—guiding them through enrollment decisions, scheduling, program pathways, and ongoing student success.
This role starts as a contract position, with the potential to transition into a long-term role based on performance and business needs.
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm CT
- Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required during peak seasons for check-ins or on-call support
- Pay rate: $20/hour
- Fully remote (quiet, professional home workspace required)
What You’ll Do
- Conduct inbound and outbound phone calls, virtual consultations, SMS, and email communication
- Advise parents and students on:
- Program enrollment and pathways
- Scheduling and course placement
- Student progress and overall success
- Build trust-based relationships with families through clear, empathetic, and confident communication
- Manage and complete operational tasks required to support students and parents end-to-end
- Maintain excellent documentation and notes to ensure continuity and follow-through
- Quickly pivot between conversations, tasks, and problem-solving scenarios while closing loops on all open items
What We’re Looking For
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Comfort and confidence on the phone, including consultative and advisory conversations
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly
- Exceptional organization, follow-up, and note-taking habits
- Ability to learn and become deeply knowledgeable about CodeWizardsHQ programs and offerings
- Familiarity with or interest in computer coding or computer science concepts (professional experience not required, but helpful)
- Previous experience in sales, advising, or customer success
- A reliable, distraction-free, professional home workspace suitable for full-time remote work
