AI and Machine Learning: The Foundation is a dynamic 2-day camp tailored for high school students. In this camp, participants will dive into the world of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning by creating their own AI-powered web application. They’ll learn how to train a machine learning model for recognizing and labeling images, using the CodeWizardsHQ platform for integrating the model into their app. The course also covers essential programming for app enhancement and troubleshooting AI challenges, providing a solid foundation in AI application development. AI Coding Camp Lessons
Creating an AI
In this lesson, students will begin the process of creating their own AI. They will set up a new AI project using Google’s Teachable Machine platform. Students will then collect images of themselves making various hand gestures and label those images, which will be used as training data for their AI. Finally, after expanding their AI model, they will save their AI project to their computer to use during the next lesson.
Integrating the AI
In this lesson, students will begin the process of integrating the AI they created in the previous lesson into a web app using the CodeWizardsHQ platform. First, they will work on improving their AI model by accounting for edge cases. Students will then export their AI model and integrate it into their CodeWizardsHQ web app using code. Finally, students will use Craiyon, an AI image generation tool, to generate images for their web app and add them to their project.
Technical Requirements
For camp, students should meet the following requirements:
- Have all required class technology
- Set up a functioning webcam to collect images for their AI model
- Have basic drawing supplies, such as a marker and pieces of paper

What if I travel during summer?
You can attend our summer coding camp or classes even while traveling. All you need is a computer and a reliable internet connection.
Another option is our winter camp program which offers the same 1-week camp curriculum.
Can my child and their friends be in the same class?
Yes. We are happy to accommodate friend requests when possible, as long as
- students are on the same curriculum
- they have previously been enrolled with CodeWizardsHQ
- they give a minimum 1 week notice in advance of class start date. We will not be able to rearrange class assignments once classes are filled.
When enrolling siblings it is not assumed that they want to be in the same class. Please email us at school@codewizardshq.com if you would like students grouped in the same class.

Our summer coding programs are ideal for kids and teens ages 8-18. We have multiple summer program options, including 3-week coding classes and 1-week & 2-day coding camps.
They’re particularly enjoyable for kids with interest in technology or video games. Beginners are welcome, no prior coding experience is needed.

During summer we offer 3-week accelerated versions of our structured core track classes (usually 12 weeks), along with unique 1-week camps designed only for summer break. Students can start, continue, catch up, or get ahead during this time and then transition back into our normal class schedules during the school year.
