Introduction to Coding Classes
Looking for an opportunity for your child to learn something new and fun that will also help them in the long run? How about a way to help out the PTA at the same time?
CodeWizardsHQ introduction classes are the answer! Our 1-hour classes will give students a glimpse into the world of coding, give them confidence, and help them thrive in our ever changing digital world.
The introduction class features:
- 1-hour hands-on online coding workshop with a live teacher
- Introduction to age appropriate coding
- $20 per class (normally $39)
- 50% of the proceeds will benefit your PTA
- Entirely online – kids can attend remotely from anywhere
We offer different levels for our Spirit Night introduction classes to appeal to the interests and skills of different age groups.

Elementary Age Kids (Ages 8-10)
In this 1-hour session, kids will use Scratch to create a fully working virtual music band with the capability to add their own favorite musical instruments. They will be able to use the computer keyboard and mouse to play those instruments.
During this 1-hour class, your elementary school kids will:
Learn to code in the beginner-friendly programming language, Scratch (no previous experience required!)
Get to try out a live online class
Do hands-on coding exercises
Receive instruction from our expert teachers
Evaluate whether they will enjoy learning to code
Middle School Age Kids (Ages 11-14)
In this 1-hour session, kids will use Python to create a fully customized web avatar. They’ll learn about core programming concepts and design their own avatar using Python code.
During this 1-hour class, your middle school kids will:
Learn to code in Python (no previous experience required!)
Get to try out a live online class
Do hands-on coding exercises
Receive instruction from our expert teachers
Evaluate whether they will enjoy learning to code
Participation supports your school’s parent association or organization: 50% of the registration fees will be donated to your school’s parent association or organization.

Location
Your child will attend our class with live teachers from the convenience of your home.No driving is necessary. Our live, online classes are taught by a practicing coding professional at a set class time. We will send you instructions for logging in to the class 3 days before the class start date.
Tuition
$20 $39. We will also donate $10 of the class tuition to your PTA chapter!
