6TH ANNUAL CODEWIZARDSHQ LOGIC CHALLENGE (SPRING SEMESTER) OFFICIAL RULES

  1. The 6th Annual CodeWizardsHQ Logic Challenge (Spring Semester) is open to active US residents ages 18 and under as of the challenge participation end date, May 4th, 2025. Void where prohibited.
  2. No purchase is necessary to receive an entry. If you are a US based resident age 18 and under as of the challenge end date, May 4th, 2025, you may obtain an entry without making any purchase by having a parent or legal guardian submit a registration at https://challenge.codewizardshq.com/register.
  3. All registrations must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian.
    1. Teachers/Schools may generate a class code through the registration page, but that code must be given to the participant’s parent or legal guardian. Under no circumstances should a participant be registered without the information of the parent or legal guardian.
  4. Only one (1) registration/account is allowed per individual participant.
  5. If a participant is registering on behalf of their class/school, they must enter their Class Code at the time of registration.
    1. If a student fails to register with a Class Code, it cannot be added at a later time. 
    2. Teachers/Schools have the ability to remove any student from being listed under or attached to their generated Class Code. However, once a student has been removed there is no option to add them back.
    3. Notwithstanding the option given to school for removal in 5b, once a student has registered with a Class Code, it cannot be undone. 
  6. Student’s First Name and initial letter of Last Name may be on public display on the CodeWizardsHQ platform, announcements, or marketing materials. (No additional personal information will be made visible)
  7. CodeWizardsHQ Logic Challenge participation period begins February 24th, 2025 at 6:00am ET and ends at 10PM ET on May 4th, 2025. New participants may be registered at any time during the participation period.
    1. A new challenge will be released each Monday at 6:00am ET during the participation period.
    2. All challenges must be completed in the week they are released by 10:00pm ET to be awarded points, except for the following exception.
      1. Newly registered participants will have a seven (7) day grace period from the time of their registration in which to complete all previously released challenges.
        1. Any previous challenges completed that are not from the current week or future weeks will only be eligible for Base points and the Attempts bonus. The Streak bonus and Quickness will not be applied to any previously released challenges completed during the Grace Period.
        2. The Grace Period cannot exceed the end date of the participation period of the challenge.
  8. Participants automatically receive one (1) entry into the prize drawing for registration and can earn additional entries based on points earned by participating in the weekly challenges. Participants will receive an additional entry for every 50 points they accumulate.
    1. Points are awarded as follows:
      1. Base Points
        1. 25 points for correctly answering the challenge.
        2. 5 points for attempting, but incorrectly answering the challenge.
      2. Bonus Points
        1. Attempts
          1. 50% Bonus if challenge is correctly answered on first attempt
          2. 25% Bonus if challenge is correctly answered on second attempt
        2. Streak
          1. 10% for correctly answering two (2) challenges in a row.
          2. 20% for correctly answering three (3) challenges in a row.
          3. 30% for correctly answering four (4) challenges in a row.
          4. 40% for correctly answering five (5) challenges in a row.
          5. 50% for correctly answering six (6) challenges in a row.
          6. 60% for correctly answering seven (7) challenges in a row.
          7. 70% for correctly answering eight (8) challenges in a row.
          8. 80% for correctly answering nine (9) challenges in a row.
          9. 90% for correctly answering ten (10) challenges in a row.
        3. Quickness
          1. 30% for correctly answering the challenge on the first day it releases
          2. 25% for correctly answering the challenge on the second day after it releases
          3. 20% for correctly answering the challenge on the third day after it releases
          4. 15% for correctly answering the challenge on the fourth day after it releases
          5. 10% for correctly answering the challenge on the fifth day after it releases
          6. 5% for correctly answering the challenge on the sixth day after it releases
  9. If a participant is registered with a Class Code, for every entry they obtain for our prize drawing, their class will  receive an entry for the classroom grant drawing.
  10. CodeWizardsHQ, at it sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any registered participant, class code, account(s), or entries for reasons including, but not limited to:
    1. Multiple registrations for the same participant
    2. Registrations not complete by a parent or legal guardian
    3. Attempts to tamper or otherwise interfere with the proper functioning of the entry process
    4. Breach of any of the Official Challenge Rules
  11. Winners, including individual prizes and classroom grants will be drawn, contacted, and  announced no later than Wednesday, May 7th, 2025.
    1. Participants are only eligible to win one (1) prize. Once an entry is drawn for a participant or classroom, all other entries for that participant or classroom will be considered void if drawn again.
    2. Winners will be notified based on the information provided at registration.
    3. CodeWizardsHQ has no liability for a winner’s failure to provide correct contact information.
    4. If the winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, or fails to claim the prize within two (2) weeks after notification, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner may be drawn.
  12. Prizes
    1. Each Participant Winner will be able to choose one (1) item from their corresponding  tier list.

    2. Each Classroom Grant Winner will be awarded a grant from CodeWizardsHQ in the following tiered amounts.
      1. 1st Place Classroom Grant Winner – $250
      2. 2nd Place Classroom Grant Winner – $150
      3. 3rd Place Classroom Granter Winner $100
  13. If a prize is deemed unavailable to fulfill, CodeWizardsHQ, at its sole discretion, may substitute another prize of comparable value.
  14. Notwithstanding circumstances outside of CodeWizardsHQ’s control, prizes will be fulfilled within eight (8) weeks of properly received selection and delivery information.
  15. Decisions regarding the CodeWizardsHQ Logic Challenge 2024 are at the sole discretion of CodeWizardsHQ and are subject to change at any time.
  16. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible participants and entries received.
  17. CodeWizardsHQ Employees, Past or Current Students, Contractors, Affiliates, and Family are not eligible. 
  18. For any winner that is under 18 years of age, prize will be awarded to the parent or legal guardian that registered the participant. Communication for claiming the prize will be sent to the contact information provided at registration..
  19. Challenge Participants and Parents/Legal Guardians
    1. Represent that they have read and have complied with these Official Challenge Rules.
    2. Release CodeWizardsHQ from any and all liability in connection with this Challenge.
