MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS

Two Paths to Start Coding. One Strong Foundation.

For ages 11-13, we have two curated pathways for student—Core Track & Artificial Intelligence Track—both focus on developing strong Python programming skills from that start. The interests your child wants to explore and the outcomes they want to achieve will help determine the track for them!

  • Middle School Core Track
  • Artificial Intelligence Track
For Ages 11-13
For middle school students who want to develop a broad range of coding skills.
Build a Foundation With Python
Students learn Python logic, variables, loops, functions, and data structures while creating interactive Python applications.
Expand Beyond Python
Students progress into HTML, CSS, JavaScript, databases, and APIs—learning how technologies work together to create complete applications.
For Ages 11-18
The modern path for young coders who want to learn programming while learning the powers of AI + Coding.
Learn Python + AI
Students learn Python fundamentals while learning how to integrate AI to collaborate, debug, enhance workflow, and improve what they create.
Unlock AI’s Full Potential
Once students understand the “how” & the “why” behind each coding concept, they learn to use AI as a helpful assistant & powerful co-creator.
Does the AI Track Rely On “Vibe Coding”?

No. Students are expected to understand, write, debug, and explain their code. AI is introduced as a tool they learn to guide, evaluate, and correct—not as a replacement for knowledge or independent thinking.

CHOOSE YOUR APPROACH

Traditional vs AI-Native Approach

CORE TRACK
Ages 11-13
Build Programming Skills Across Multiple Languages

Students begin with Python and progressively expand into HTML, CSS, JavaScript, APIs and more—gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of coding technologies. AI can be layered in later through supplemental courses.

Best for: Families who prefer a traditional, fundamentals-first coding education and want AI introduced after foundational mastery.

AI TRACK
Ages 14-18
Learn Coding Fundamentals & Learn How to Integrate AI

Students develop the same core Python skills while also learning how AI can help them brainstorm, experiment, review code, and expand what they create—without becoming dependent on it. Students don’t just use AI—they gain the skills to build and create with it.

Best for: AI-forward families who want their child fluent in both coding and responsible AI collaboration from day one.

THEIR CODING EDUCATION

What Do You Want It To Look Like?

A Broad Coding Foundation
Python is the first step in a complete curriculum that later expands into web development, databases, APIs, and more.
Python + AI From the Start
Students learn Python fundamentals while also learning to collaborate responsibly with AI and build AI-powered projects.

EXPLORE THE TWO PATHS

Programs That Match Your Child’s Goals

Every program starts with teaching Python fundamentals. The difference is what your child learns next as they progress through our structured curriculum pathways.

MS
Ages 11-13

Middle School Core Track

Best for: Young programmers who want a complete coding education

Students begin with Python, building a strong foundation in one of the world’s most popular programming languages. After mastering Python, students then transition into learning HTML, CSS, & JavaScript through our structured curriculum. They will also learn how to integrate databases and APIs into their projects to build robust, feature-rich applications.

This track establishes a broad coding foundation across multiple different languages.

AI
AGES 11-18

Artificial Intelligence Track

Best for: Students who want a modern path to learning code

In this track, students will take an AI-native approach to learning programming. Students learn the same programming fundamentals that our core tracks teach, but from day one they also learn how to use AI as part of the development process—how to build with it, guide it, evaluate its output, and use it as a creative collaborator rather than simply a shortcut.

It is the modern path to coding and prepares students to thrive in an AI-driven world.

THE DIFFERENCE IS STRUCTURE

Structured Coding Curriculum Designed for Skill Development

Every course in our coding programs build on what students learned in previous courses, guiding them down a path that fosters genuine skill development, retention, and mastery!

WHY PARENTS TRUST CODEWIZARDSHQ

COMMON PARENT QUESTIONS

Does my child need previous experience?
No. Both starting courses are designed for complete beginners.
Will AI do the coding for students?
No. Students learn to write and understand code first, then learn how to layer on AI as a as a creative collaborator rather than simply a shortcut.
Can students learn AI later in the Core Track?
Yes. The Core Track establishes strong fundamentals first, allowing students to approach AI later through our Advanced AI Track for students with coding experience.
Does the AI Track rely on “vibe coding”?
No. Students are expected to understand, write, debug, and explain their code. AI is introduced as a tool they learn to guide, evaluate, and correct—not as a replacement for knowledge or independent thinking.
Will my child learn the same coding fundamentals in both tracks?
Yes. Both tracks teach the same essential programming concepts and start with Python. The primary difference is when AI is introduced and if your child wants to expand into more languages.
Which track is better for my child?
Choose the Core Track if you prefer a traditional path that establishes programming fundamentals before introducing AI. Choose the AI Track if your child is excited about AI and you want them to learn coding fundamentals while also using AI responsibly from the start.
